This is an Absolute Necessity, even if you don't smoke... I have been smoking for 20 years now unfortunately. I am going to quit but, even when I do, I will still carry this. In my years I have used every type and brand of disposable lighter. I switched to zippos years back and didn't look back. I love zippo, especially the armor cut. They have some flaws though. They attack sand and it gets trapped in cartridge, they leak if overfilled and put upside down, the flints do not last long, they are bulky and the fluid evaporates.
This little douglas solves almost every problem I have with zippo...
It is built like a tank with the precision of a clock!
The brass will take a beating and patina with grace.the o rings will prevent leaks and evaporation. The size is perfect, small and ¹, yet big enough to hold comfortably. Its almost completely sealed so I don't need to worry about the beach sand. The flints are incredible.its a nice big chunk of Flintstone, it will last a good while and it strikes. every time I light it. I could keep raving about it but, hopefully you're done reading and buying one right now!!!
As for GladFellow... this is my new favorite store to do business with online. Its like Jeff searched my browser history and tailored a store just for me. Haha. I am always hunting for High quality, highly functional, built to last and look good items and tools. Soft flame great for tobacco pipes, lit all of my pipes cigs and cigars for a solid week, before a refill. You don't need a blow torch for a cigar. Roast the end before you puff. In today's world of CNC you can't tell me these can't be mass produced. If they drop the patents I could reverse engineer these and make hundreds of them in weeks. Beats a two day zippo hands down.
